Contest Information and Rules

Welcome to our monthly poetry contest. Each month the staff at White Crow Poetry Exchange searches the five most active forums for the best poem. Poems are selected on the basis of form, style, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and originality. The nominee suggested by each forum host is then added to a poll and voted on by the members of White Crow Poetry Exchange.

All topics posted by members, moderators and administrators in the Everything Oriental, Everything Metered, Dactyls, Limericks, and Rhymed Verse, Free Verse Express, The Twilight Zone, and Romantique forums are eligible for nomination.

The winner(s) will be announced on the ninth of every month. Winning works are respectively showcased in our Monthly Feature Poem Contest Forum and the Young Poet's Award Showcase forums.

There are only two possible winning categories:
1. Overall best work at White Crow Poetry Exchange--The Monthly Feature Poem.
2. Young Poet's Award for authors under the age of 15 (a choice for this catagory will be made as such topics are available).

All decisions are final.
